Used for checking the fuses of pole fuse switches, without climbing the pole and opening the fuse switch. By using operating rod, the antenna of the voltage detector is pushed into the voltage measuring opening of the fuse switch. If the fuse holder is live, the small LED is lit. A live conductor can also be detected by touching the insulation of a phase conductor with the voltage indicator.
