As a family-owned company, Ensto deeply values sustainability and ethical conduct, which are integrated into our core values. We strive to strengthen our competence and improve our business for greater benefit of society. Ensto has production facilities in six countries and purchases materials from 18 main counties globally, while maintaining human and labor rights, healthy working conditions and zero-tolerance policy for corruption.

We are committed to building sustainability competence within our network and integrating it into our daily operations, and to building sustainability competence internally and within our partner network and integrating sustainability into our daily operations.

Ensto’s Code of Conduct is the key policy and an essential part of our strategy. This Code defines the way we work and sets a framework for responsible ways of conducting business. It provides the ethical standards that help us to make the right choices every day. The Code is also an introduction to our main policies and principles, which include more detailed guidance and information.

The Code applies to everyone working for Ensto, and we require all our employees to complete a Code of conduct e-learning course on our Ensto Academy training platform. To ensure 100% participation, the e-learning is a part of our onboarding.

We set strict requirements for our business parters to uphold high standards for responsible business practices. Ensto's Supplier Code of Conduct defines the minimum sustainability and ethics requirements for our suppliers. We expect our suppliers to implement these requirements across their own supply chains, and compliance with our Code is an integral part of our supplier selection criteria.

Our group level target is that 100% of our category A suppliers accept our Code through an E-procurement portal, E-Academy training program or by signing Ensto's contract.  We monitor the progress of our Suppliers Code of Conduct implementation monthly.

Ensto uses an anonymous platform called SpeakUp for reporting unethical activities, violations and concerns. The platform is hosted by a third party, and all violations will be reported to Ensto Management Team and Chair of the Board of Directors. SpeakUp can be used for both internal and external concerns, meaning that also stakeholders, including suppliers, can report any misconduct, illegal or unethical behavior through SpeakUp.

Ensto’s Health and Safety (HS) and Quality and Environment (QE) policies are reviewed yearly. To ensure effective communication and understanding of the main policies, we arranged mandatory e-learning courses for all Ensto personnel. The e-learning is mandatory for all employees. We also have a mandatory online basic training on sustainability for our office employees. In addition to the existing policies, Ensto is currently developing a Human Rights Policy.

We monitor compliance to the Code in risk countries through regular sustainability audits. The audits are conducted by external sustainability certification companies with extensive local expertise. These audits are essential for maintaining sustainability and efficiency in our supply chain.

We focus on improving practices, particularly in key regions like India, conducting numerous audits to enhance sustainability. Globally, our audits uphold high standards of quality, transparency, and ethics, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. These evaluations strengthen our supply chain, build strong supplier relationships, and promote industry-wide positive change, supporting long-term sustainability.
