Ensto’s main goal of sponsoring is to engage in concrete actions and to be an active and responsible actor in building a better future. We emphasize cooperation with young people, since it reflects our values of responsibility, people centricity, innovativeness, and collaboration. We place considerable emphasis is on children's and youths’ physical well-being in communities where Ensto has its plants.
Ensto has announced its commitment to making a positive impact in a local community and has chosen to sponsor a new target in India, the Non-Governmental Organization called Suniye Hearing (Do listen in Hindi) that is working towards the rehabilitation of hearing-impaired children. Suniye Hearing was established with the goal of providing support to children with hearing disabilities. The organization offers a range of services, including hearing tests, speech therapy, and educational support to help these children overcome their hearing impairments and reach their full potential. With the increasing number of children being born with hearing disabilities in India, the work of Suniye Hearing is more important than ever.
“We believe it is our responsibility to give back to the communities where we operate and make a positive impact in the world. By supporting organizations like Suniye Hearing, we are helping to improve the lives of young children with disabilities and providing them with a brighter future,” emphasizes Kirsi-Marja Ura, SVP, HR, Marketing and Communications, Sustainability.
Ashok Kaushik, Managing Director of Ensto India Ltd also points out: “Not only do we fulfil our social and moral responsibility, but we also help in making society more inclusive by supporting such organizations.”
Suniye Hearing’s efforts have benefited over 1000 hearing-impaired children and is the only NGO in India to teach spoken language to hearing-impaired children. Every year Suniye Hearing teaches on average 60+ students, 90% of whom come from low-income backgrounds. The desire is to get the children to study in regular schools and to be fully part of society.
“All of us are very grateful to you for Ensto’s kind contribution to Suniye Support School for Hearing Impaired Children. You are helping us get closer to our dream of ensuring every hearing-impaired child can learn to listen, speak, read, write, and become part of mainstream society,” says Rashmi Agarwal, President of Suniye.
Ensto’s commitment to corporate social responsibility is an inspiration to others and highlights the important role that they can play in making a positive impact in society.
