Co-operation negotiations concluded in Finland

Ensto's co-operation negotiations in Finland were concluded on Thursday June 6, 2019. The negotiations began on April 26, 2019, and they concerned the whole personnel in Finland. At the beginning of the negotiations, a maximum of 70 persons were expected to be affected by the possible measures in Finland. The Group employs currently 400 people in Finland.

The negotiations resulted in adjustment measures whereby Ensto reduces 65 employees, launches new operating and organizational model and closes down the Lohja factory in Finland and tranfers its production to Porvoo, Finland, and Paide, Estonia. The reduced positions apply to all units and functions in Finland, and they will be implemented by mid-December in 2019.

The co-operation negotiations were part of a change program for the entire Group where we renew our operating model and organizational structure to meet the company's strategic targets and the company's financial and market situation. With these measures, we aim to ensure Ensto's future competitiveness and success, and to achieve a permanent profit improvement of 10 million euros on a Group level.
